PACK EVENTS

SCOUT RALLY NIGHT

At the beginning of each year we gather our our Scouts and their families together to celebrate the start of a new Scouting year, gather volunteers for Pack and Den events, and have Dens meet to plan and organize for the new year.

The Raingutter Regatta is a fun Cub Scout activity. The Scouts use a kit to build a trimaran sailboat that is “wind-powered” by blowing on the sail. They can work to make their boat more aerodynamic, and they can decorate it. The Cub Scouts then race their boats in water-filled rain gutters at a pack meeting.

Every year the Pack participates in the Trails End Popcorn Sale and hosts the Eagle Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch at Brush Creek Park and Pavillion. The pack relies heavily on the funds generated by these fundraisers to keep our dues low. Everyone's participation is expected and appreciated.

The Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch is a significant fundraiser for Cub Scout Pack 229 and a fantastic day of family fun. Held each year at the Brush Creek Park and Pavilion, the Pumpkin Patch is run by the Eagle Ranch Community Gardens while we host local businesses, run bouncy houses and games, as well as a concession stand.

Scouting for food is an annual community food drive in wich our Pack makes a significant impact on our local communities in Eagle, Gypsum, and throughout the Valley. We distribute outdoor hangers throughout neighborhoods, followed by collecting the generously donated food items, and then coming together as a pack to load all of the donations.

CHRISTMAS ON BROADWAY

Christmas on Broadway is a long standing tradition and includes a parade through downtown Eagle. Each year we gather as a pack to march together and share a little holiday cheer!

SIMPLE SUPPER

Simple Supper is a volunteer opportunity in which Scouts prepare or serve food within our local community

SNOWBOX DERBY

Snow Box Derby is a fun winter event in which each Scout crafts a ‘sled’ ahead of the event using only cardboard and duct tape. We get together to try them out while staying warm with hot chocolate, and s’mores!

The Pinewood Derby is revered Cub Scout activity where Scouts use kits to construct small wooden cars, raced together as a pack. These gravity-powered cars accelerate down a four lane track.

Each spring we join together with volunteers throughout the county to help  keep our valley beautiful.

Our annual rocket launch is always a favorite. Scouts build their own model rockets from kits at home and then we all come together as a pack to watch them soar into the sky. It's a thrilling event that combines hands-on learning with outdoor fun.

Our final event of the year is a campout at Sylvan Lake State Park! This 1-2 night event offers family camping, engaging den activities, and a special cross-over ceremony for our Arrow of Light Scouts as they transition to the Boy Scouts. It's a memorable way to celebrate the year's achievements and embrace new adventures in the great outdoors.
