Pack 229 is excited to participate in the 24th annual Community Clean-Up hosted by the Eagle River Watershed Council. This year, we'll be focusing our efforts on the Eagle County Fairgrounds.
Logistics:
Waiver: To join us, each Scout and parent must sign a waiver. Please refer to the email for details on how to complete this.
Meeting Point: Park near the BBQ and picnic area, located southeast of the Eagle River Center. We'll gather here for a safety briefing and to collect supplies.
Pre-Clean-Up BBQ: Some dens may choose to arrive early for a pre-clean-up BBQ. This is optional and can be organized within each den.
Scout Responsibilities - Scouts should come prepared with the following:
Work gloves
Water bottle
Sunscreen
Sunglasses
Closed-toe shoes
Safety Reminders:
Hazardous Waste: Please avoid picking up any suspicious items such as duct-taped bottles or needles. Safety is our top priority.
Safety First: If you encounter anything that seems too dangerous to handle, prioritize your safety and skip it.
Most Unusual Trash Competition:
Get ready for some fun competition! Capture a photo of the most unusual piece of trash you find during the clean-up and submit it to cleanup@erwc.org and cubscouts229@gmail.com. The winning submission will be recognized by the Pack.
