Every Scout should learn the value of hard work and earning their own way. The popcorn sale is the perfect opportunity to teach this valuable life lesson and fund the most exciting year of Scouting ever.
Popcon sales supports our pack expenses which results in lower dues and greater ability to serve our community including:
Events: Campout, Pinewood Derby Cars, Raingutter Regatta Boats, Snowbox Derby, Rocket Launch
Service: Scouting For Food, Simple Supper, Eagle Watershed Cleanup
The popcorn sale is not just about selling popcorn…It’s also about promoting Scouting!

Scouts go door-to-door and take orders for Popcorn that will be delivered at a later date (~November). All sales should be input into the Trail’s End App (credit cards are accepted with no fees). Cash and Check (made out to Pack 229) are also acceptable. The Scout will then return to the individuals house and deliver the Popcorn. Please do not take unpaid orders door-to-door!

Selling online is the best way to sell to friends and family who live far away. Online sales count toward Scout rewards. Participants can send emails to friends and family asking them to purchase products online. The email includes a link allowing them to begin shopping right away. Customers can pay with a credit card, and the products are shipped directly to the customer.

Scouts sell physical bags and boxes of popcorn in front of a local business. You can sign up for a shift via the Trails End App (more details below) and then you will pick up materials and inventory via the Popcorn Kernerl and show up to the location on the day of the storefront (more details below)

The Trails End App and Web Dashboard are your hubs for selling Popcorn. Via the app and web dashboard you can track sales, take orders, and create an online store front for friends and family to purchase from you.
1. Download the Trails End App
2. Login with your credentials from last year or create a new account
If you are creating a new account you will need the following information:

3. Familiarize yourself with the App / Site via Trails End Training
4. Sign Up to Sell at a Storefront
5. Create an online store front and share with friends and family!

Local businesses throughout the valley have been generous enough to allow us to sell in front of their location. In 2023 we have expanded our locations and will be selling from Gypsum to Vail including: Ace - Gypsum, Ace - Vail, Safeway - Vail, City Market - Eagle, Walmart - Avon
To Sign Up, login to the Trails End App or website and navigate to the storefront page where you will see a calendar with options to sign up.

PRIOR TO THE STOREFRONT | Meet with Heather Larson to pickup supplies
If you are the first seller of the day you will pick up table, banner & cash box from Heather, along with popcorn, cash/change.
All sellers will pick up popcorn & cash from Heather prior to sale.
AT THE STOREFRONT | You sell from the inventory provided by Heather
If you are the first seller of the day, check in with store before setting up table and banner
Please do not put out a donation jar; we can accept donations, just put the money in the box and keep a note of how many donations were accepted. Bring this note with you to cash out with Heather.
Please make sure all trash and materials used are cleaned up properly before you leave the store and say “Thank You” to the Store manager/employees before you leave
DO NOT leave next Scout with your popcorn, cash, etc. Only Cash box will go to the next Scout.
If there is more than one Scout selling, have one parent using the Trail’s End App for payment. The dollars will be split between the Scouts by the App.
Any cash donations will be placed in an envelope for donation to our Pack.
AFTER THE STOREFRONT | Return Popcorn and Cash within 24 hours
Return any unsold popcorn, cash and order sheet (if used) to Heather within 24 hours of sale.
Last sales person will take table, banner & cash box to Heather at end of sale. This needs to be done same day, to allow the next day’s sellers to have access to materials.

Credit Card Sales generate greater rewards for your scout and eliminate the need for transferring cash back to the popcorn kernel.
Cash Wagon Sales:
Manually track cash orders throughout your day of selling including purchase details, customer's name, address, and phone number
Enter all of the cash wagon sales into a single wagon sale order on the app
